*The procedure shown is the only change which occurred. There is no guarantee that other persons will experience the same or similar result as the individual shown.

What are Dermal Thickeners used for? Dermal Thickeners are mainly used to correct the facial signs of aging specifically volume loss. Dermal Thickeners are longer lasting than Dermal Fillers and are used to stimulate and promote your skin’s own collagen production.

When will I see results?

The effect of Dermal Thickeners are delayed for approximately 2 months - as the skin takes time to produce its own collagen to thicken up the skin.

At this time, a second injection should be undertaken to boost the effect. Although the initial results may be delayed, the outcomes achieved are longer lasting. Longevity of result is individual, on average results last 12 to 18 months.

How long is recovery?

This treatment has no down time and is often referred to as a “lunch time treatment” as you may return to work straight after the procedure. You may experience slight redness and swelling overnight.
Where is this treatment administered?

Dermal Thickeners are often used near the naso-labial fold (the crease running from your nose to the corner of your mouth), for smile lines on your lower cheek and for fine skin lines on your face.

This treatment increases the volume of depressed areas / correct skin depressions, e.g. skin creases, wrinkles, folds, scars, eye rings and ageing.
